Showcasing Norfolk Winter Wedding Photography at Park Farm Hotel
As busy East Anglian wedding photographers, we always enjoy working collaboratively with other wedding suppliers across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. This was certainly the case when we attended a styled photoshoot at Park Farm Hotel near Norwich.
After a challenging year for the wedding industry due to Coronavirus restrictions, it was great to get together with a talented group of wedding suppliers to create a wonderful set of styled photographs.
The idea behind a styled shoot is simple – to photograph staged wedding scenes. These normally have a theme, in a way that showcases the suppliers. They highlight the dresses, the hair and makeup and the props with everyone involved going away with some great promo shots for their websites and social media.
Sometimes the pictures are featured by magazines and this, in turn, is great publicity for all involved. We are pleased to say that this styled shoot is scheduled to be published in a bridal magazine.
The winter wonderland theme was perfect for a November shoot.
It was also the perfect theme to showcase Park Farm Hotel’s newly refurbished Colney Suite and adjacent conservatory. Its large ceiling to floor windows bathe the space in natural light. French doors lead to pretty patio area planted with raised flowerbeds. Its elegant neutral décor with hues of lilac, give it a stylish contemporary feel that blends seamlessly with the period features like the plasterwork on the walls and ceiling and pretty chandeliers. The overall effect is one of timeless elegance. Perfect for a wedding. This blank canvas can be dressed to suit your colours, style and theme or left as it is for a pared back natural look. See the images below
Wedding photographers always love photographing in Georgian houses as the large windows always throw in copious amounts of natural light that we can work with to create beautiful images. (Us Norfolk wedding photographers are total geeks when it comes to talking about light!)
The large rooms of the country house combined with elegant interiors make the perfect setting for the bridal party to get together. The perfect place for us to take those all-important bride photos before the ceremony.
For their preparations, models Melissa, Laura and Eloise were in the professional and talented hands of make-up artist Nicola Walker and Hair Stylist Hayley Keenes.
The three beautiful bridal gowns were supplied by Sarah Belinda’s Bridal Boutique in Diss and were distinctly different in style, cut and detail. Though as you can see from the images were all equally stunning.
The models wore bespoke handmade jewellery and accessories made by Nu Jewellery by Emma, who specialises in jewellery and accessories that are always unique, ranging from the distinctively unusual through to traditional but with a twist. We especially loved the bespoke tiaras and pretty dropleaf earrings.
One of the many things that we love about shooting wedding photography at Park Farm Hotel is that it offers so many different beautiful backdrops for our images. Whether it’s outside in the 200 acres of gardens and grounds, in the new Colney Suite, the sunny terrace or the beautiful interiors of the country house as shown in the image below.
As experienced professional photographers, specialising in Fine Art photography, we love working creatively to capture unique images and this was certainly the case with our last image of the shoot. And the result was well worth the effort. We love this beautiful image with the snow effect set against the striking red of the rose and the models lip colour. It’s like something straight out of fairy-tale and was the perfect image to close this very special styled photo shoot.
We thoroughly enjoyed capturing this styled wedding shoot at Park Farm Hotel. As professional wedding photographers working across East Anglia we have always found our colleagues in the wedding industry to be friendly, creative, hardworking and professional. We are sure it’s these qualities that will see us all through these difficult times for the industry. Thank you to all of you, we look forward to working with you all again soon.
The Reward
It was great working with the different suppliers, we were able to take some lovely photos for us all to use in our business advertising.
The icing on the cake, excuse the pun, was that we also go onto the front cover of Your East Anglian Wedding magazine as well as a 3-page spread inside!
