White Dove Barns Wedding Photographer – Jade and Lee’s day
One of the best things about being Suffolk wedding photographers is getting to capture wedding photography at White Dove Barns. Jade and Lee chose the perfect location for their autumn wedding in Suffolk and our drone came into good effect to take in the scene.
White Dove Barns is situated in Suffolk countryside close to the market town of Beccles. Considered one of Suffolk’s premier barn wedding venues, this beautiful grade II listed thatched barn in a farm setting offers endless choices for beautiful backdrops for wedding photos both indoors and out. But we’ll get back to all reasons why we love returning to be White Dove Barns wedding photographers later, let’s start at the beginning of Jade and Lee’s Day.
On the day we got there early so we could catch up with Jade and her bridal party who were getting ready in White Dove Barns 5-star luxury wedding accommodation.
Jade was in good spirits and in the safe hands of hair stylist Alexa and make-up artist Lucy. There was a lovely atmosphere and a little bubbly on hand. Perfect conditions to take those all-important bridal preparation photos.
We also took the chance to capture some great images of the barn all dressed and ready for Jade and Lee’s wedding. It looked magical.

Lee and his groom’s party were ready and greeting guests to the venue so we caught up with them as well.
Lee looked very smart in a dark blue three-piece suit with a red tie. As did his entire groom’s party, though the best dressed two were the youngest two members of the groom’s party who wore very smart bow ties.
Jade looked amazing in a figure-skimming dress with elegant lace detail and a sweetheart neckline.
This was complimented with a veil and the fishtail shape of the skirt gave Jade a perfect silhouette in all of our images. Bridesmaids wore elegant green teal dresses and simple bouquets and we captured some great images of the Jade and her bridal party before leaving for the ceremony, including a very sweet father seeing the bride moment.
The wedding ceremony was held in the beautiful Grade II listed Barn which had been dressed exquisitely.
Barn wedding venues can sometimes feel dark but Dove Barn is bathed in lots of natural light which one of many reasons why it’s a real favourite with Suffolk wedding photographers.
The wedding ceremony was lovely and personal and included musical accompaniment by talented local singer-songwriter and guitarist Daniel Brewitt.

After the ceremony, we took some great group images on the lawn outside the farmhouse. There was a little bit of light rain on the day but it did nothing to dampen anybody’s spirits.
Jade and Lee’s wedding party were really fun to work with and we especially enjoyed the images where they let off different coloured smoke flares. Here, take a look!
As Jade and Lee’s guests enjoyed a drinks reception, we quickly whisked them away for a romantic mini photoshoot around the beautiful grounds of White Dove Barns. The images on the jetty were amongst our favourites of the day. Really romantic, here take a look!
Jade and Lee then returned to their guests and were rapturously received into their wedding reception. Where a sumptuous wedding breakfast of Confit du Canard, beef wellington and sticky toffee pudding was served by the lovely staff.
One of the many things we love about returning to be White Dove Barns wedding photographers is that they have everything you need for a great wedding in one place and the team there are always so friendly, even to Suffolk wedding photographers! Nothing is ever too much trouble for these guys.
Creative and natural Dove Barn wedding photography
The delicious wedding meal was followed by some very well-received speeches.
Best man Marcus delivered a very funny speech that included a hilarious video of Lee trying to ride a bike whilst drunk.
Evening celebrations started with the cutting of a delicious looking naked two-tier wedding cake that had gorgeous wild flower decoration. This was followed by a romantic first dance for Jade and Lee. But these guys weren’t on the dancefloor alone for long.
Their guests were really up for a party and the Funk Soul Brothers Band were right there to see that they got one.
ade and Lee had thought of everything for the perfect celebration, there was live music, tasty food, a photobooth (who doesn’t love a photobooth) and a games area for the children.
The evening ended with a fun sparkler serenade on White Dove Barns pretty lit up courtyard. I love sparklers at weddings as they are fun and make fantastic images. And the image of Jade and Lee, sparklers in hand, surrounded by their loved ones, was the perfect fitting image to close the story of their amazing wedding day.
